August, 2008 Low flying B- 757 Yesterday the Icelandic National Handball team back from the
Olympics in Bejing.
And with the silver medal . They landed in Reykjavik ,and two coast guard helicopters and a DC -3 - flew with the Boeing 757 formation over the city. And the Boeing also fles low over the airport - before landing with the team. 30 - 40 thousand people where downtown and celebrated the team whne the eventually came downtown. But the jet flew pretty low over the airport as you can see on my video. And tomorrow - 7.45 (gmt) iceland will be fighting for the for the gold in Handball - at the olympics in Bejing. And at that time - nobody will be working - everybody watching on tv . Big mall in Kopavogur will show the game on a big screen - and some movie theaters will also show the game - Iceland will be playing against France ( population 60 million ) and in Iceland ( population 300.00 thousand ) the excitement is huge . Iceland has one three medals in the Olympics - that is total . One in 1956 ( triple jump ) 1984 ( judo ) and 2000 ( pole voult ). And this weekend -- the gold to Iceland.
